Church Action For Relief &

Holistic Development

A church platform for self-reliance and sustained holistic community development

CAFRAHD came into existence as a result of heavier burden placed in our hearts over the marginalization, suffering and misery witnessed by the women, children, elderly as well as youth and men in Karamoja for decades; the suffering that has claimed lives and reduced the region to one of the poorest in the world with poverty index of over 66% and illiteracy rates being over 88%; several families and children have gone through traumatic challenges of tribal conflicts, raids, devastating hunger and starvation and poor social provision.

Over a period of time, our hearts were burden during our outreach missions in the local churches and communities to respond to the prevailing need for Christ Ministry. The burden kept growing from time to time till we couldn't resist it leading to birth of CAFRAHD.

In 2018 when the burden was birthed, CAFRAHD informally launched its work by mobilizing the local church to support the poor and unschooled young and adults to learn how to read the bible.

A church platform for self-reliance and sustained holistic community development

CAFRAHD exists to mobilize the local church and community to act and utilize God given resources, to develop community holistically for sustainable development

1. Stewardship: We are stewards of God's creation and all resources. We view community stewardship as a natural extension of CAFRAHD values and core purpose.

2. Accountability: We are accountable to mankind in our deeds and actions.

3. Christianity: We work through local churches and we uphold Christians values and principles with a mandate to transform our community.

4. Humanity: We respond to human crisis with aid, love, compassion and good news of Jesus Christ.
